How to make your own 49ers’ jerseys
Recode is reporting that Nike will start shipping jerseys from the 49ers this fall, with the first pair of shirts expected to ship in late summer.
According to a person familiar with the matter, the jersey orders represent a major step forward in Nike’s commitment to making the Niners’ jersey collection.
That’s because Nike is trying to make a statement by launching its own collection of jerseys, which includes the first three-piece jerseys that will hit the market, a fourth pair of Nike jerseys that won’t be available until 2019 and the last jersey in the Ninos’ “home” colorway, which is expected to debut later this year.
The new jerseys will come in two styles: a regular-size jersey and a long-sleeve, full-length jersey.
The long-Sleeve jersey will be available exclusively at the NFL store, while the regular-sized jersey will start in mid-2019 at the league store.
Nike also has plans to start selling its signature long-lengths for NFL teams.
The company will offer the jersey in two colorways: the regular and the long-wide, with a total of eight colors available.
“The NFL is taking a leadership position in the home market and we are thrilled to be a part of this,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told Recode.
“Nike is a global leader in jersey design and technology.
We look forward to working with our partners to provide our fans with the best possible apparel and jersey options.”
Nike is already in the process of developing a new home-and-home jersey.
Last year, the company unveiled a special jersey called the Nike+1, which features the logo of Nike’s official app for iOS and Android devices.
It’s a similar product to the Nike SB Premium that debuted in 2018.
The Nike SB and SB Premium jerseys will debut in 2019, but only for the NFL.
The NFL isn’t expected to announce the availability of the Nike-branded jersey anytime soon, but the company is said to be targeting the 2017 season.
“We’re excited about this partnership,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
“This jersey collaboration with Nike will help us connect the NFL to its loyal fan base and provide fans with even more of the greatest and best jerseys around.”
